Last night I was in the Super Market making a simple purchase before going to rent a movie for the night, an individual (later to find out his name was "Mark") asked me...'Is that your purchase" as I stared at my Bone-in half butt portion of Ham...looked at him with a smile and said ""Yip, that's mine." He reached in his pocket gave me $20 and said "Take this it's on me", for about 2 minutes we went back and fourth with me saying in many variations "No, I can't accept this, but thank you". Many of the store patrons around us was looking at this time and it was my turn to pay. He gave the cashier the cash and I thanked him profusely for his very gracious unselfish gift. I left him with my name and number and asked him to call me for coffee or lunch one day, and wished him a very Happy New Year.
It made me think that it was my turn to pay it forward, and I'm hoping one day that maybe you to may see a random stranger and join me to do the same. It may be a teenage kid grabbing a coffee at your local coffee house, or an elderly person making a simple purchase, or that "maybe" single mom with a child in the grocery store. Make someone's day, maybe even their year. Do the right thing, God Bless you all and have a great New Year!!!! Thanks again Mark!!!
